On May 16th, 2019 AER hosted a large group of local college students enrolled in the GM ASEP program. These student professionals currently work as automotive technicians at various Southern California dealerships and personally install the various electronic components purchased from AER. Led by AER Director of Sales and Marketing, Cameron Quick, the group was toured through AER’s state of the art remanufacturing headquarters in Brea, California. AER’s senior technical staff provided in depth presentations of AER’s proprietary processes including remanufacturing, recertification, function test and distribution.
When asked about the value that the AER tour brought to Cerritos College’s GM Automotive Service Educational Program (ASEP), Instructor Joe Mulleary commented “Our field trip to AER allowed my General Motors ASEP students to see what really goes on behind the scenes when they replace a radio or instrument panel cluster at their respective dealer. Most technicians are familiar with the name AER but few have had the opportunity to visit the remanufacturing facility and see how streamline their operation is. I plan this trip at the end of my electrical/electronics class with 1st year students in our program because they are at a point where they can better understand the remanufacturing process. This was our third visit to AER and I plan to continue coming back every year with my electrical/electronics class at Cerritos College.”
